My name is Davide Locatelli. I live in Bergamo and I deal with travel photography.
After graduating in Architecture and Design in 2010, I left for what I consider to have been my first real trip. A 130km walk along the South West Coast Path in Cornwall. It was a very meaningful journey to me. The next year I decided to hit Europe by myself on Interrail, an experience that kept me around for a month and opened my eyes.
Since then, I have traveled whenever I could, trying to get as much ground under my feet as possible and to feel part of the world.
Then, I graduated in Mechanical Engineering.
Over the years and trip-by-trip I made more and more my idea of ??what it really means to travel and I have come to the conclusion that it is nothing but a way of being. This way of being, to me, has found full expression in photography, which I find to be the most effective way to tell something, from a fact to an emotion.
As a travel photographer, I try to put the spotlight on how nature can appear and the ways that human beings can exist. If you want to learn to understand the world you need to feel foreign, for reborn and look with virgin eyes.
All this I want to tell with my Nikon.
