My name is Gianluca and I’m a Photographer, Designer and a Specialist in Humanitarian Operations. I have travelled to many far away places, created a lot of still and moving pictures for myself and others. And I’ve made it my life’s goal to be as creative as possible towards everything I endeavor. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. I focus on regular people in extreme situations that highlight an aspect of who they are. I look for a sense of defiance and fortitude in my work.

Professionally my career has run for 20 years now, most of which have been focused on being of service to people in some form or another, all of which have been spent working with NGOs and nonprofit organizations. Previous to my experience with NGOs I worked as Visual Designer and Photographer in Milan, Italy.

My geographical experience includes work or life in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Caribbean Countries. My Bachelor’s Degree is from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan.

I believe that people come first in our profession and life. The people we strive to support and the teams that we work with. I look forward to learning from everybody, to being of service to the people that are impacted by the work that we all do together.

Quality projects begin by helping people bring rough ideas to a polished state. Technical skills are a large part of this of course. Beyond that however I believe that quality also comes when we build opportunities for our people to learn and grow both individually and as a group and offer time and space to experiment with big ideas.

Photo project and visions are mutually rooted in the academic and practical worlds, so I hope to bridge the divide between dreams and the practical results.
