I AM | ALBAZARI

Born in Bangkok on the 23rd April 1987, Alba graduates from the faculty of Literature and Philosophy/Dams cinema section of the University of Bologna in 2010. After having worked as fashion assistant photographer in Bologna for various years and after her Univerity sudies, from 2010 to 2011 she attends an intensive course of Documentary Photography at the International Center Of Photography in New York. Alba Zari is a freelance photographer working in fine art and documentary photography. The study of the human body is a relevant charachteristic of her works, an intimate photography which wants to tell the untold, the unseen, the fragility of the one who lays bare in front of the camera; trying to be invisible in order to observe the internal solitude and suffering of who is in front of us. An intimate, feminine, poetic and dreamlike coverage, a human study of fragility that the photographic eye can capture better than any other mean. The camera is like a mirror, a water mirror.
Stories of abandonment, redemption, darkness and daze are told in a constant search for light.
