A proposito di adattatore:
Enabling the use of nearly any Nikon F-mount lens on Z-mount mirrorless camera bodies, the FTZ Mount Adapter is a sophisticated means for expanding the range of usable lenses. Gia. Niente AF per gli AFD, su quello non avevo dubbi: è anche un problema "fisico".

Più che altro sono curioso di vedere come va l'AF sugli AFS nell'inseguimento soggetti (foto naturalistica e sport, ad esempio).
DP review, sulla pre-serie (quindi tutto da ricontrollare) mi pare che abbia riportato qualche saltuario backfocus in soggetti che si approcciano in movimento alla fotocamera, quando si usano afs+adattatore.
Boh, resto sintonizzato. Da vecchio utente Nikon ho parecchie lenti che vorrei continuare a sfruttare al meglio anche sul nuovo sistema, nei limiti del tecnologicamente ed economicamente possibile

Quindi questo comunicato ufficiale è falso? Per me significa che anche AFD conserveranno AF. Per gli AFD funzionerà solo con messa a fuoco per punto singolo?

No! Non fare confusione tra AF-D e AFS-D: i primi non sono motorizzati ma hanno la presa di forza e vanno in AF sfruttando il motore del corpo macchina, se ce l'ha; i secondi sono motorizzati e ricevono solo l'informazione su come muovere il gruppo di fuoco, senza presa di forza.
Un 35-70 f/2.8 è un AF-D (e c'è anche la versione più vecchia solo AF), ma non esiste una versione AFS-D, per cui montato sulle Z sara solo MF.
Se invece prendi un 28-70 f/2.8, che è un AFS-D (ovvero un motorizzato con chip D e ghiera diaframmi che si differenzia dai successivi G che non la montano più) e lo monti su una Z, sarà comunque AF.
